PRESS RELEASE:

Introducing Veneill Latham, LMFT
New Clinical Director at Ohana Recovery Center & After Action Women’s Facility

We are thrilled to welcome Veneill Latham, LMFT, as the new Clinical Director at Ohana Recovery Center and After Action Women’s Facility. With over 12 years of experience as a therapist and six years as a Clinical Director, Veneill brings a wealth of expertise, leadership, and deep compassion to our team.

A Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Veneill’s academic and clinical background has been shaped by a passion for working with individuals who have faced trauma. During graduate school, she specialized in military and first responder trauma, civilian trauma, and domestic abuse, laying the foundation for her career in trauma-informed care.

Throughout her career, Veneill has worked in diverse and impactful roles. As an oncology therapist, she focused on psychoneuroimmunology, helping cancer survivors process trauma and supporting families navigating the grief of losing loved ones. Her ability to provide empathetic, evidence-based care to those in crisis has made a lasting impact on the communities she has served.

Veneill was drawn to Ohana Recovery Center and After Action Women’s Facility because of the deep sense of care and understanding she felt from the team. She believes that while skills and techniques can be taught, compassion and heart cannot be trained—and she recognized immediately that this team shares her values. Committed to fostering love, self-worth, and resilience, she looks forward to leading with integrity and guiding both staff and clients toward healing and transformation.

Having grown up as a military brat, Veneill has lived all over the United States, which has given her a unique perspective on resilience and adaptability. She is excited to bring her experience, leadership, and unwavering commitment to trauma-informed care to our programs.

Please join us in giving Veneill a warm welcome!
